Barbering studio · by appointment

A slow chair, and a cut that holds its shape.

Vireo Notch keeps two chairs and one guest per barber, so every appointment has room for a proper consultation, a clean cut and a finish that still reads well in week three.

Two chairs

No queue, no waiting room

Every slot is held for one guest, so you are seen at the time you booked.

45 to 60 minutes

Time to get it right

Long enough to talk through the shape, cut it properly and check it dry.

Cut, beard, shave

One room, three crafts

Scissor work, clipper work and straight-razor finishing all happen in the chair.

Services & prices

Six ways to sit down

Every price includes the consultation, the cut and a dry finish. Pick the closest service when you write to us — your barber will confirm it in the chair.

The Notch Cut

£32

45 minutes

Our standard scissor-and-clipper cut, built around how your hair actually falls rather than a fixed template.

Skin Fade

£34

45 minutes

A graded fade taken down to the skin, blended by hand and squared or rounded to suit your hairline.

Cut & Beard

£46

60 minutes

A full cut followed by beard shaping, edge work with the straight razor and a hot towel to close.

Beard Shape

£22

30 minutes

Length, line and cheek work for a beard you are already growing, plus balm and a hot towel.

Head Shave

£26

30 minutes

A straight-razor head shave over hot towels, finished with a cooling tonic and a light oil.

First Chair

£18

30 minutes

A calm, unrushed cut for under-twelves, with a grown-up sitting alongside for the whole appointment.

Restyles and long-hair work occasionally need a longer slot. Mention it in your request and we will book the extra time rather than rush the finish.

The visit

What happens once you are in the chair

Three quiet stages, every appointment, whether it is your first cut with us or your fortieth.

We talk first

Five minutes on how you wear it, how much time you give it in the morning, and what has not worked before.

Then the cut

Washed, sectioned and cut in one pass, checked against your natural growth pattern as we go.

Finished dry

Dried, refined and shown from both sides, with a short note on how to hold the shape until next time.

The barbers

Three pairs of hands

Book by name if you have a preference, or leave it to us and we will match your request to whoever suits the work.

Idris Faye

Scissor work & restyles

Opened the studio after years of long-hair and textured cutting. Happiest with a full restyle and an hour to think in.

Marek Solin

Fades & clipper detail

Precise with graded work and hard partings. Ask for Marek if you want a line that stays crisp between visits.

Rafa Ibarra

Beards & razor finishing

Trained in straight-razor work and hot towel finishing. Takes the beard appointments and the head shaves.

In the room

Warm light, quiet music, sharp steel

A small studio that stays tidy on purpose — two chairs, a long counter and enough daylight to judge a finish properly.

Questions

Before you send a request

The four things new guests ask most often.

Do you take walk-ins?

Rarely, because each slot is held for a booked guest. If a cancellation opens up on the day we offer it to whoever wrote to us most recently, so it is always worth sending a request even for the same week.

What if I am running late?

Reply to your confirmation email and we will do what we can. Up to ten minutes is usually fine; beyond that we may need to shorten the service so the next guest still starts on time.

Can children be cut here?

Yes, under the First Chair service for under-twelves. Those slots sit earlier in the day when the room is quietest, and a grown-up stays in the studio for the whole appointment.

How do I change or cancel a booking?

Reply to the confirmation email with what you would like to change. A day's notice means we can offer the slot to someone else, which keeps both chairs working.
